ABOUT US
Greetings! Bonjour from Haiti!

Hi, we're Sam Paulson, Nick (Rocket) Otte, and Patrick Myslik from Chester, CT.
We traveled to Haiti in August 2017, as high school seniors at Valley Regional High School in Deep River, CT. We were part of an inaugural volunteer educational exchange program with students from Deschapelles, a small community in Central Haiti. We brought our experience with robotics to over 30 Haitian students. Our workshop was sponsored by Essex Haiti Sister Cities, a local chapter established in Essex, CT, by an incredible civic minded group in a response to the earth quake Haiti suffered in 2010. Afterward Sister Cities Essex Haiti continued their support for Haiti by raising money and helping to coordinate efforts to build a library. Now that it's built a few enrichment workshops and programs are held there every year. Ours being the first robotics workshop.
Part of our arsenal included donated Google Chrome laptops, two Lego Robotic Kits, software and other supplies. And a whole lot of love and brain power! Follow us on our trip's "journey" through this blog.
Thanks too to our incredible parents for their support, know-how, and accompanying us in Haiti:
Jim Myslik, Karen Kaestle and Michelle Parr Paulson. We are so grateful to have spent this time together. And thank you Jim Myslik and St. John Church in Essex CT for making it all possible.
